Vehicle Wrap Questions & Answers

Many people are unfamiliar with vehicle wraps and all of the amazing benefits a wrap can bring to your car. Below, the vehicle wrap experts at Audiosport in Escondido answer some of the most frequently asked vehicle wrap questions.

Will the Wrap Fit My Car?

Many customers have contacted us asking whether or not a vehicle wrap will fit the unique dimensions of their car. Our answer is always yes! We can custom design vehicle wraps for any make or model vehicle, making sure the wrap fits your car like a glove.

Do I Need to Wash My Car Before it Gets Wrapped?

You should wash your car before getting it wrapped to maximize the effectiveness and longevity of the wrap. Any dust, mud, or other debris on the car can cause installation issues on your car, so drive by the car wash on your way to Audiosport in Escondido for a vehicle wrap.

Can a Vehicle Wrap Hurt My Car’s Paint?

Many are concerned that a vehicle wrap can cause damage to their car’s existing paint job, but that is actually not the case. In fact, a vehicle wrap protects your car’s paint from scratches and chipping. However, if the paint on your car is already chipping off, the wrap may pull some of the chipping paint off when it is removed. Talk to a car wrap expert if you are concerned about your car’s paint.

Can I Wrap a Small Portion of My Car?

The beauty of a vehicle wrap is that it can be anything you want it to be. If you want to wrap your entire vehicle with an exciting new color or texture, you can! However, if you just want to wrap the hood or some other portion of your car, that works too. This is called a partial wrap, and at Audiosport we can print and cut graphics, logos, and other text to add to your vehicle.

How Long Will it Take to Get My Vehicle Wrapped?

Typically a vehicle wrap can be done in one to two days, but it all depends on the specifications of your vehicle wrap. For a standard car and wrap, you can expect a one to two day turnaround, but if you drive a very large truck or car or you want to create a custom wrap, it might take a bit longer.

Will My Vehicle Wrap Fade Over Time?

The UV rays of the sun can be quite powerful, and many fear that excessive sunshine will eventually cause their wrap to fade over time. However, most vehicle wraps have a laminated film over the vinyl wrap that protects it from UV damage. As long as you have a high-quality vehicle wrap, the design should not fade over time.

Can I Wrap a Leased Vehicle?

Even if you do not own your car, we encourage you to get a vehicle wrap. The vehicle wrap can protect your leased vehicle from exterior damage, which can save you money when you return the car. When you return the car, we can easily peel off the vehicle wrap for you.
